The 2017 GMC Sierra 2500HD is heavy-duty truck and it main purpose is to work and in order to provide dependable working abilities it relies on two proven engine options.
The standard engine for this truck is a 6.0 liter Vortec V-6 engine which can be powered on either gasoline or CNG. Its current version can produce 360 hp and peak torque of 380 pound-feet when operating on gasoline while with CNG output is reduced to 301 hp and 333 pound feet torque. It paired with a six-speed automatic transmission and all models can be had with either rear- or all wheel drive.
Optional is a 6.6 liter V-8 turbodiesel engine which in current version produces 397 hp and torque of 765 lb-ft. It is combined with a special six-gear automatic transmission. As we said, for the new model year it is going to use new air intake system which will provide fresh and dry air via the scoop on the hood. With this it will improve combustion and will operate more efficient in wider conditions range but what effect this system will have on power output is yet to be announced.

In terms of styling the 2017 GMC Sierra 2500HD won’t be changed except the scooped hood which will be seen on Duramax diesel powered version. The same case is with its interior design which will continue in the same from as the current version.

As we said earlier, this truck is available in array of confutation options. Body styles include regular cab, double cab and crew cab versions with long and standard bed options. It also comes in four trim levels.
The base trim is work duty entry model with equipment like 17-inch wheels, air conditioning, vinyl upholstery, xenon headlights, six-speed sound system, etc. However it can also be equipped with IntelliLink infotainment system which includes 7-inch screen, voice controls, 4G LTE WiFi, On Star system, satellite radio, etc.
On the next SLE trim it ads standard 8-inch touchscreen, upgraded wheels, keyless entry, carpeting, leather wrapped steering wheels and more. The SLT also benefits from 18-inch alloy wheels, dual-zone climate control, leather upholstery, heated power adjustable front seats, etc.
On the Denali, it adds more chrome accents, 20 inch wheels, heated steering wheels, ventilated seats, upgraded infotainment screen, more safety equipment, etc.
It also offers extra features in some packages where it adds off-road features, like underbody protection, special suspension and axles ratios, but it also offer other features like rear seat entrainment and Driver Alert Package which covers aids like forward collision alert, parking sensors, lane departure warning, etc.

The company hasn’t raveled details about release date and price. However, the 2017 GMC Sierra 2500HD will come by the end of this year and price should experience minor changes compared the current price range.
