For those who like a more luxurious truck, pay attention to the 2023 Cadillac Escalade EXT. Pickups aren’t usually synonymous with high-quality interiors and amazingly designed exteriors. The outside of the 2023 Cadillac Escalade EXT looks similar to its cousins. We have an option of huge 22-inch wheels. They are of course lightweight alloy to shave off some weight. It has adaptive air suspension and an electronic slip differential. Regular Escalade has over 120 cubic feet of cargo space. Expect the EXT version to have much more considering it will have a cargo bed. The ride height is tall even without any further adjustments. The front fascia is big and aggressive. With a big mesh to cool down the engine. Headlights are linear and there are two levels of them. One vertical and one horizontal. Bumpers are seamless and they fit quite well with the overall design.
Interior and Accessories
The inside of the new 2023 Cadillac Escalade EXT will look exclusive. This is expected from the Cadillac as they give much attention to the luxury and style their vehicles have. It will probably look similar to other Escalade cousins. So expect a large continuous 38-inch screen. This accounts for the dashboard and infotainment. This makes tracking of important information much easier and is fully customizable. There is also a 36-speaker audio system by AKG. This is some premium stuff that you don’t expect in other vehicles. Super Cruise is also available. This is a hands-free driving software that will help you relax behind the wheel. It covers over 200000 miles of pre-mapped inter-state roads. Not to mention numerous wooden and chrome accents around the cabin. They give a first-class feel. Safety features are also implemented. You get your standard, automatic brakes, lane change alert, pedestrian detection and similar.
Electric Engines and Performance
Since it’s a revival, we don’t expect the Cadillac to keep the old powertrain. This is mostly because it has been almost a decade since it was last produced. That type of technology is considered obsolete by many standards. So if you are starting from scratch, what better opportunity than this to introduce an electric powertrain? The new 2023 Cadillac Escalade EXT has good options to borrow from other Cadillac vehicles. But this move would future proof the truck and give it a good and reliable powertrain option for years to come. Perhaps a new platform is in order to accommodate this type of change.
Everything would be moved under the cabin for better balance and handling. The components are extra heavy so a lot would be changed. On the plus side, there would be more space under the hood. This will most definitely be used as cargo space as it can fit several full-size suitcases. Escalade is not a small vehicle, it would need a lot to move around.
We are hoping for no less than a 150 kWh battery pack. This should give it a range of well above 300 miles on a single charge. As well as a nice count of horsepower, we are hoping for above 400 but one can only dream. A single electric motor won’t do the trick here. They need at least a dual or tri-motor setup. Something similar to what Tesla has done with their Cybertruck. That pickup has an amazing performance and is a beast on paper.
Verdict
This move would be beneficial for the buyer as well. Having a powertrain to last and that is made for the future. Not to mention the money you save on gas. Which is getting more expensive as we speak. Electric vehicles are probable to take over soon, so Cadillac could jump on that train early. This would also help them with getting a big share of the market. Not to mention emission laws that will come to power in 2030. This is going to be a big gut-wrenching punch for internal combustion engines. By going electric, Cadillac is making sure their Escalade EXT is unaffected.
The Escalade SUV line isn’t the cheapest to run, or buy at that point. Expect to get 11 mpg in the city and 16 on the highway. The diesel version gets 21 mpg in the city and 27 on the highway. Hybrid or electric variant 2023 Cadillac Escalade EXT would fix this problem.

If the rumors are true, we might see the 2023 Cadillac Escalade EXT sometime later in 2023. Probably summer. The starting price is estimated at around $80,000 which is common for Cadillac made vehicles.
