On the inside, we get a new contemporary styling. Seating is vastly improved with better cushioning and improved lumbar support. Also leather is available with contrast stitching. It remains to be seen if we can choose the color of the upholstery or just natural colors. Dashboard is digital which is expected and the infotainment system is huge, 14 inches in size respectively. A sunroof would be a good addition but it is something we can get by without. Connectivity is standard with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
The Redline Edition adds a lot to the 2023 Chevy Silverado 1500. If you choose this package you get a high gloss black door handle. The grille will also be painted with high gloss black paint. Tailgate lettering is done in the same regard. We get dark bezels around headlamps. Also, the tailgate will be bedazzled with a Black RST badge. Rear View mirrors get red stripes. The dual exhaust will get black rectangular tips. Recovery hooks are painted red as well. Those huge 20-inch rims will come in black aluminum with red stripes. 2023 Chevy Silverado 1500 Redline Edition Specs
The 2023 Chevy Silverado 1500 Redline Edition is available with a number of different engines. The 2.7-liter turbo four engines is the first up. With an automatic transmission, it can produce 420 pound-feet of torque and 310 horsepower. These are respectable figures for an engine of this tiny caliber. It takes 7.1 seconds to accelerate to 60 mph. This is not a bad thing when you take into account the Silverado’s enormous size. We go on to a 5.3 liter V8 next. This has a 10-speed automatic transmission and accelerates to 60 mph in 6.4 seconds. With 350 horsepower and 390 pound-feet of torque, it accomplishes this. We also have a 6.2-liter V8 option. Also a 10-speed automatic, but 5.5 seconds to 60 mph. This is extraordinary for a vehicle of this size. It generates 460 pound-feet of torque and 420 horsepower.

Silverado Diesel
A 3.0 liter I-6 turbocharged oil burner is also available. This too has a 10-speed automatic transmission and accelerates to 60 mph in 7.6 seconds. It has a staggering 460 pound-feet of torque and 277 horsepower. The extra torque is a godsend, especially off the paved road. If you plan to take your Silverado off-roading, choose the option with the most torque. So the turbo diesel 3.0-liter engine seems like the best fit. We are sad to see the lack of electric and hybrid variants of the new Silverado.
This makes no sense, as everybody is racing to electrify their trucks. Just look at what Ford did with their F-150 Lightning. Putting a big battery pack in the Silverado could do wonders. Giving it a good range, for example, no less than 300-350 miles is the sweet spot. Also, this is a sure way to future proof your vehicle. Gas prices are rising and this way you could save the planet. We’ll see what Chevy plans to do about it.
Fuel economy
The Silverado is not the ideal pickup if you want to save money on fuel. In the city, the 2.7-liter turbo four gets 16 to 19 mpg, while on the highway, it gets 16 to 21 mpg. In the city, the 5.3-liter V8 gets 14–16 mpg, while on the interstate, it gets 18–22 mpg. The powerful 6.2-liter V8 engine has a 13–15 mpg city rating and a 17–20 mpg highway rating. While the little 3.0-liter turbodiesel achieves 23-31 mpg on the open road and 20-23 mpg in the city.
2023 Chevy Silverado 1500 Redline Edition Price and Release Date
