The global pickup market welcomed recently the all-new Isuzu D-Max and its corporate twin Mazda BT-50. The Mitsubishi Triton is also fresh after the recent thorough styling and equipment upgrade. The global Ford Ranger is getting closer to the full redesign and the all-new fourth-generation Nissan Navara is also under development. The redesigned Navara should arrive around 2022 based on the Mitsubishi Triton and with the petrol and electrified powertrain. In the meantime, the 2021 Nissan Navara should come in the updated form to keep up the pace with the up-to-date rivals.
The 2021 Navara should come with the updated front-end styling and revised rear. The reports also suggest that some versions could get some chassis upgrades to further refine handling and steering attributes. The powertrain range should remain the same while there will some changes in the equipment availability. The model range will also go on sale with a slightly upscaled price.
The US-spec version Nissan Frontier received an upgraded 310-hp V-6 engine and nine-speed automatic transmission for the 2020 season. The all-new Frontier is in the works for the 2021 model year. The new Frontier should come on the evolutionary upgraded chassis and with modernized styling and up-to-date tech and safety equipment.
2021 Nissan Navara: Design
The 2021 Nissan Navara comes with the revised front-end styling as the reports suggest. The new version could also gain some chassis upgrades to improve its handling, steering and ride qualities.
The front section of the model should come with the upgrades that bring the style of the mid-size pickup truck in line with the brand’s new design language applied to the recently revised models. The model should appear with the modernized V-motion grille paired with the fresh-style headlights. The new headlight design will include 2-piece boomerang-style LED signature lighting.
The next Navara will retain the current silhouette while the rear should receive restyled taillights. The model should also go on sale with new color and wheel options.
Details haven’t appeared about possible in-cab upgrades of the upcoming Navara but there shouldn’t be many. The fast-selling, mid-size ute received a recently upgraded infotainment system and can be had with various equipment levels.
The model has a very comfortable cabin and upper grades offer premium comfort and tech features. Navara’s driving position is also good. Buyers get this truck in various cab styles including single, Double Cab and King Cab styles and there are also chassis cab versions. The wide trim range provides also great customization capability.
At the equipment level, the Navara ute can be had in various cab styles and equipment levels.
The truck starts with six speakers, USB and iPod inputs, Bluetooth, remote locking, seven airbags, etc. The base chassis cab model some with basic trims, vinyl coverings, steel wheels, etc.

2021 Nissan Navara: Performance
When it comes to power options, the upcoming 2021 Nissan Navara should remain mechanically unchanged.
The mid-size, Navara-badged truck comes with a 2.3-liter turbodiesel four-cylinder engine good for 161 hp and torque of 425 Nm in its base power-capability. The next-level performance provides a 2.3-liter bi-turbo engine version. This option makes 187 hp and torque of 450 Nm. The truck goes on sale with a smooth 7-speed automatic transmission.
Buyers can also opt between a two- and sophisticated four-wheel-drive system. The selectable four-wheel-drive setup with low-range and electronic limited-slip rear differential should provide all-weather and off-road capability.
The Nissan Navara matches also the best-class towing capability of 3, 500 kg. It can handle around 1000 kg of load in its cargo bed.
2021 Nissan Navara: Release, Price
The new 2021 Nissan Navara will go on sale later in the year. The price will increase slightly across the board. The price of the model in Australia will jump by $300 across the range. The model will start from $27, 150. The off-road-ready N-Trek Warrior version will demand $66, 290.
