2021 Ram Rebel TRX: Design

The new 2021 Ram Rebel TRX is based on the half-ton Ram 1500 but the model underwent a serious transformation to become Ford Raptor’s challenger.

Ram’s engineers had to upgrade the standard Ram 1500’s frame and as Ram claims the new frame uses just 25 percent of the standard frame design. Engineers infused more high-strength steel into the Rebel’s frame mixing it with thicker and heavier rails. Thanks to the modifications, the TRX has much greater torsion rigidity and strength to handle serious off-road duties.

The new Ram Rebel TRX has also a menacing stance in accordance with its high-performance, off-road capability. The Ram Rebel TRX has a 6-inch wider track to provide additional stability mixed with a 0.8-inch longer wheelbase to open room for massive 35-inch tires. The truck comes also with the increased ground clearance measuring 11.8 inches mixed with 13-inch front suspension travel and 14-inch rear.

The Ram Rebel TRX gets also attention with more rugged bodywork and other visual enhancements. The model has a macular, scooped hood and signature Rebel-style grille. There is also a unique front bumper and additional underbody protection.

From the profile, there are wider and painted fender flares and side steps. The rear comes with a unique tailgate with specific stampings. The model includes also a bed-mounted spare tier handler.

Interior:

The interior of the mighty Rebel TRX gets also specific treatment.

The model builds on the in-cab design of the standard Ram 1500 with rich-looking materials, top-notch tech systems, and improved sound insulation.
