All new or upgraded pickups continue to arrive on the market and buyers have difficult decision to make when buying one. Among the names such as the Nissan Navara, Ford Ranger, Mitsubishi L200, Toyota Hilux, Mercedes X-Class, the Isuzu D-Max is surely one of the most utilitarian ones but is also the good value for money. The model is not very refined as some rivals and feels dated compared to others but delivers strong performance, long range of configurations and long warranty. The model was also recently updated in 2017 with the upgraded engine and towing capability plus with some styling and interior upgrades. Isuzu also updated the equipment range.

The new version of this reliable truck comes as the 2019 Isuzu D-Max and considering recent facelift big changes are not expected. Isuzu’s truck will continue to offer the same powertrains depending on the market and won’t change the way it looks and feels inside. 2017 Isuzu D-Max: Facelift, New Engine

The Isuzu D-Max is seriously good workhorse. This mid-sized pickup truck version has proven to be reliable and strong machine which offers good drive, strong engine and extensive range of variants. The model is based on the GM’s platform which has also been used on the Chevy Colorado and GMC Canyon but model features unique styling. The Isuzu has soldiered in its second generation since 2012 model year and some changes are expected considering that most of the rival manufactures have offered upgraded trucks with big improvements.

In that regard, Isuzu Motors is reported to offer facelifted version of the D-Max truck by the end of this year. This is still unofficial bur strong indications suggest that refreshed truck will likely go as the 2017 model and it should initially be offered for the Thai market while same changes will probably be applied to other markets as well. According to latest reports the 2017 Isuzu D-max will get new front end styling, reworked rear end look and revised interior. The model should also bring new turbo diesel engine and new gearboxes.
